When a large amount of people think it doesn't matter, it actually matters. The thought process of "how is one $60/$30/$10 purchase going to change someones life" is the same as people who don't vote because it doesn't matter. You (not the personal pronoun you) are taking away from the company that pays those developers to have a job and put food on the table for themselves and their families.
